We write both technical and nontechnical information. The writing can start from the outline stage or from an existing document whereby we may do a substantial rewrite. Most of our writing projects are done in our office, but we are willing to work on-site when it is necessary or beneficial. We would be happy to show you samples of our writing.

Editing

We edit all documents for organization, sentence and paragraph structure, grammar, punctuation, format, style, and spelling. Sometimes our edits involve substantial amounts of rewriting, restructuring, and reorganizing to improve the clarity. To expedite any changes we find, we usually make the corrections directly to your word processor files (rather than deliver a marked-up copy). We prefer the documents to be furnished to us in MS Word format.

Costs and Terms

We typically charge $50-$60 per hour for writing and $45-$55 per hour for editing, depending on the project type. If you prefer being charged on a per-job basis, we can give you a fixed price based on the project as it is described. Many projects can be discussed over the phone, but if you require a person-to-person meeting, we can meet at your company's location. We always provide an estimate, at no charge, before beginning any work. After the project ends, full payment is due within 30 days of receipt.

Note: Most of our writing and editing projects are done in our office, but we are willing to work on-site when it is necessary or beneficial to you.

Privacy and Security

It's our policy to treat every customer document strictly as confidential information. If you send us a document for a price quote and decide not to use our services, we will immediately destroy the document. If you decide to use our services, the document will be destroyed after the work is completed (unless other instructions follow). We will also adhere to the specifics of any customer nondisclosure agreement when applicable.
